Filmmaking and Digital Media – This course introduces students to the art and craft of filmmaking, covering the essential stages of pre-production and production. Students will explore film genres, screenwriting techniques, scheduling, budgeting, and financing strategies for a film project. They will also learn how to secure filming locations, assemble a professional crew, and cast actors for various roles. The course includes instruction in storyboarding, cinematography basics, lighting techniques, and capturing high-quality production sound. By the end of the semester, students will be able to plan, prepare, and execute the initial phases of a film production with creative and technical proficiency.
