Computer Networking and Security – This course introduces students to the essential concepts, tools, and techniques of computer networking. It begins with an overview of network types and components, guiding students through client configurations, daily network operations, and ways to extend network capabilities. Students will learn how to plan a network, understand TCP/IP protocols, and work with physical infrastructure such as cables and switches. The course also covers wireless networking, internet connectivity, and network virtualization. By the end of the semester, students will be equipped with the knowledge to set up, configure, and maintain basic network systems, laying the foundation for more advanced networking studies.
