This course introduces the fundamental concepts and techniques of data visualization in GIS, aligned with the USGIS Ebk 3 standards for beginner level learners. Students will gain a practical understanding of how to effectively communicate spatial information through maps, charts, and other visual representations. The course will cover essential data visualization principles, common visualization methods, and the use of GIS software to create compelling and informative visualizations. Participants will develop the skills to select appropriate visualization techniques, design effective visual representations, and interpret and analyze visualized data for informed decision-making.
